DATES

7 dates, 8 teams, each team gets 5 games to advance to playoffs, best 4
teams play in semi finals. 1st plays the 4th 2nd plays the 3rd .(Based on
winning record, if teams have equal record points differencial willl decide
the winner)

June 21th 2008: Try out run… every team needs to be there by 1 pm…
scheduales will be given then.(16&up) The best 8 teams will be selected to
compete in the VBBL (Venice Beach Basketball league).

July 5 2008: Official kick off… Teams will need to have simalar color
jerseys and ref fees of 30 dollars.

Time breakdown

9-10am: Set up time

10am- 12pm: Games and basketball clinics for kids 12 to 14.

12 -1pm : Game 1

1 to 2pm: Game 2

2 to 3: Intermission

-Giant knockout game…all spectators and players welcome to join… free give
aways for winner.

Dunk challenge of the day… Any challengers welcome

-High dunk contest. The one who jumps the highest bar will be crown winner

-Face off contest: each participant gets 3 tries to posterize the other. The
one who gets the other one the best will advance based on the crowd cheer.
Defender must go straight up. Fouling 2 consecutive time will lead in
disqualification.

-Freestyle competition: team of 2 have 2 minutes to land the most trick
dunks and passes. Best 3 dunks will be added for final score.

The winners will be rewarded in 200$ in cash and prizes

3 to 4pm: Game 3

4 to 5pm: Game 4

5 to 6pm: Dance off

6 to 7pm: Break down

So You Think You Got Game !!?

We LOVE Basketball !

At BallinLA.com we are dedicated to connect and challenge all Los Angeles ballers and fans to come out and enjoy a good game of Streetball. You see some of the best talent on the street courts. Young teens, older teenagers and men in their 30s and 40s who did not get the chance to play for schools and colleges come to the playground, and they come to ball with pride for the game. We are passionate about Basketball and wish to share with the world.

Here we love the game of street basketball. We believe it brings out the beauty and skill of the game. You can see moves on a playground that you would never see on television. Some professional basketball players don't play with as much intensity, aggressiveness and passion as they could. They get paid plenty and don't put their full effort on the court every time they step out on the court. We love that it does not have to be about money, people come out to play for the simple fact that they love the game. We feel like basketball is the most competitive sport out there and is a great source of challenging good times as well as a social event.

SUNSHINE BALLER TOURNAMENT


On August 26th the Sunshine baller Tournament will be hosted in Venice Beach where the best in LA will challenge each other. Divisions consist of All Star as well as a junior/senior division. Games will be 5 on 5 up to 15 points by 1 and 2 points. Refs will be more lenient on calls such as travels and fouls to keep a fast paste to the game. If a foul is called in an act of shooting the person will shoot 1 free throw for 1 points and the game willresume.

All Stars are anyone that feels like they can dominate any court
they play...It will be highly competitive. Junior/senior division which
includes anyone under 16 and over 50...parents are welcome to join. These games will be coed if the ladies feel like they are up for the challenge.
The winners of the day will be awarded with gifts from our sponsors as well as a trophy.

Check up time is 10am
First set of games will start at 11am
There will be DJs performing all day for your listening pleasure
Slam Dunk contest at 4pm
Games will proceed at 430 with the semi finals
The final games will start at 6pm
Every team is guaranteed at least 2 games and up to 5 games if they keep winning.
You can come with your team up to 10 players or simply join a team on the day of the event.
Sign up fees are 100$ per team or 20 per player.
20$ to enter dunk contest with 100$ cash price for the winner.
Teams are required to be respectful to each other and to watch their profanities.

Free Drinks and food will be provided for the players
Pictures and videos will be posted after the tournament for you to send to your family and friends.
